St. Theresa Parents’ Club

Mission and Objectives
The St. Theresa Parents’ Club serves as an organization through which parents support the interests of the St. Theresa School community in the spirit of Christian values. That essential support is demonstrated through the activities of our Parents Club committees which operate many of the school’s programs.
The objectives of the St. Theresa Parents’ Community are:

  1. To raise funds for the school.

  2. To provide enrichment programs that serve our students

  3. To support and recognize the value of the staff and teachers at St. Theresa.

  4. To provide parent education and promote community building within the school and the larger St. Theresa parish community.

Welcome from our Parents’ Club President

Dear Parents of St. Theresa School,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 academic year! It is my pleasure to extend a hearty welcome to all new St. T families, and to welcome back all continuing St. T families. I’m so excited to work with you to support our beloved students and the fabulous staff and faculty of St. Theresa School!

The St. Theresa Parents Club helps organize efforts of the parent community to raise funds and provide volunteer service to support our school. There’s truly something for everyone, and we celebrate the talents you generously share to make our community thrive.

My family has been part of St. Theresa school since fall 2019, our son Oliver is a fifth grader this year, and our daughter Helen is in third grade. My husband Jim and I both work in science at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and enjoy being part of the music ministry at St. Theresa Church. We truly love this warm and supportive St. T community, and we look forward to getting to know you all better in the months ahead.

In October 2025, St. Theresa parish will celebrate 100 years of serving the local faith community. St. Theresa School has been a proud partner in that tradition since opening our doors in September 1958. In the run-up to this historic anniversary, there will be lots of fun opportunities for school families to celebrate our history, reflect on who we have been, and set plans for the next 100 years of St. Theresa. Celebrations begin in January 2025 and continue all year long!

In closing, I wish you and your children a blessed and beautiful year of learning, growth, and community. My family and I look forward to seeing you on the blacktop, at the School Auction, at Mass, and in the Event Center cheering on our Titan athletes. Let’s make this a great year!

Sincerely,

Shannon Ciston, St. Theresa Parents’ Club President, 2024-2025
